Give yourself a musical treat his weekend! Blick Bassy from Cameroon is worth the ride to Union Scene in Drammen Sunday October 1st at 19:00.
Allthough Blick Bassy comes from Cameroon, you should not expect traditional African music. He is strongly inspired by both blues, gospel and jazz, and the format is beautifully composed of cello, trombone, guitar, banjo and vocal.
The music is for him the language of the emotion, and his music is often described as “elegant minimalism”. Bassy sings besides English also in his Cameroon mother tongue Bassa.
Blick Bassy gave an interview in Jungeltelegrafen on Nrk Radio P2 today and says he is looking much forward to playing in Norway again. He did that last in 2013.
