Blick Bassy created his first band, Jazz Crew, when he was only 17 years old. With his now third solo album “Akö” he has made great success all over the world. Top 10 on the European World Music Chart.
Bassy performs on his mother tongue, the Cameroon language Bassa, which is no longer taught. The bass language is one of 260 languages in Cameroon, and by singing in this language, he protects it from disappearing.
Blick Bassy’s concert will be a beautiful closure of the Drammen Sacred Music Festival.
