Litle Hushpuppy is one of the inhabitants of “Bathtub” – a small, poor comunity at the coast of South Louisiana, isolated from the rest of the world. Here she lives alone with her drinking father. He has learnt Hushpuppy to survive on her own, a very important thing as he falls very ill. A storm is flooding Bathtub and Hushpuppy as to fight for her home place.
Beast of The Southern Wild was nominated four Oscars in 2013 and won the price for best movie at the Sundance film festival. At Cannes fim festival it was awarded the price for best debuting film. In Haugesund it won th norwegian film critics price.
