Today’s media focuses much on challenges linked to increasing immigration. Many wonder how Norway should be able to accommodate many newcomers with different language, religion and cultural background. Drammen is already a cultural and religious complex society. A number of enthusiasts are working for everyday integration in various fields. This seminar will provide a realistic guide to multiculturalism and integration in Drammen. We enter the children’s world, parents’ world and the world of the institutions and receive examples of what is happening. What is challenging? What works? How do we actually manage being together in Drammen?
The seminar is aimed at students and staff in kindergarten, school and cultural fields, as well as others who are interested in learning more about Drammen multicultural area.
