Description
Vintermåne is a group of musicians who started their collaboration in 1997 when they were students at the Conservatory of Music in Kristiansand. Since then, they have been together and have been busy with concerts, events and school tours.
Vintermåne interprets folk music from Telemark. Their music is based on traditional tones from older audio recordings. In their arrangements, they try to facilitate melody and text while performing free frames and open ears to each other’s musical curling.
After 20 years on the road and three record releases, they are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a brand new recording. At the concert in Fjell kirke, there will be a celebration of the record release and a premiere repertoire from the recording.

Frøydis Grorud – saxophone and flutes
Frøydis is known to many of us as a saxophonist on the television show, Beat for Beat. Frøydis is a versatile musician with a distinctive melodic expression. She has released several albums – as a soloist and as well as in collaboration with Bugge Wesseltoft, Torun Eriksen, Trond Lien and a number of other musicians. Frøydis plays with Trio de Janeiro, Torun Eriksen, Gaute Ormåsen, Christian Ingebrigtsen and Panties Kristin Klæbo. She also has her own jazz quartet with her own music material.
Torjus Vierli – various types of keys. Torjus is a diligent performer, both as a live musician and studio musician. He has an elegant and distinctive rhythmic play. He plays with Odd Nordstoga, Sissel K, Sigvart Dagsland and Morten Abel. Torjus is a technician of rank, and also spends a lot of time as producer and organizer in his studio in Grimstad. He is also a regular musician and producer in the Garness group.
Anne Gravir Klykken – vocals. She performs kvedar, as well as other songs of rhythmic genre. She collaborates with Iver Kleive, Bugge Wesseltoft, Aasmund Nordstoga, Mattis Kleppen and Knut Buen. Anne has released two solo albums and has collaborated in recordings with other artists.
